ABOUT ABOUT

Looking for a brand new show this Halloween?  Come see The Scarecracker - A Halloween Sweet.

Clara and Cora are sisters having a Halloween party, complete with games, delicious treats, and a contest for Best Costume.  Clara is a girly goody-two shoes with the manners of a princess, while her younger sister, Cora, is a spirited tomboy who can't help but get in trouble.

In the middle of the party, a mysterious guest arrives.  This is the sisters' Aunt Druscilla, an odd, witchy woman who runs a candy store.  She brings along her 'Familiars': an owl, frog and cat that seem to be enchanted.

Druscilla uses her cauldron to whip up a special candy called the 'Halloween Sweet'.  She warns the party guests that the candy has magical power, and that eating more than one can cause wicked dreams, but naughty Cora can't help herself, and gets caught trying to sneak extra candy.

While Cora is being scolded, the rest of the children are selecting pumpkins to carve.  By the time Cora gets to the pumpkin patch, the only thing left is a hideous, warty gourd.  Cora's anger grows when she sees that her sister Clara has carved a perfect, smiling Jack O'Lantern.  Jealous Cora tries to snatch the Jack O'Lantern from Cora, and it smashes to the ground, ruined.

Aunt Druscilla places the broken pumpkin in her cauldron, and performs a spell.  The key ingredient is a Halloween Sweet, which magically heals the pumpkin.

The party ends, but later that night, Cora sneaks out of bed.  She looks longingly at Clara's perfect pumpkin, then spies the cauldron full of candy.  She tries to resist but winds up stuffing herself with Halloween Sweets, getting sick, and falling fast asleep.

When she wakes, she finds herself surrounded by giant crows, who swarm around her, diving and pecking.  She tries to fight them off, but they call for their leader, the Raven King.  Cora fights bravely, but she is no match for the Raven King's power.

Just then, Clara's Jack O'Lantern begins to move, as if it is coming to life.  It transforms into a man with a green, vinelike body and a pumpkin for a head.  He is the Scarecracker Prince, and he summons an army of scarecrows to help wage war against the crows.  Cora and the Scarecracker are victorious, but in the final, intense duel, the Raven King mortally wounds the Scarecracker.

Cora is distraught, until she recalls how her Aunt Druscilla used a Halloween Sweet to heal the pumpkin earlier that evening.  She holds a Sweet to the lips of the fallen Scarecracker, who comes back to life and, in gratitude, invites Cora to come with him to his Kingdom, the Land of the Creeps.

After a journey through a forest of falling leaves, Cora and the Scarecracker arrive at Creep Castle, where the Scarecracker calls for his subjects- monsters from all over the world- to come and dance in Cora's honor.  There are Banshees from Ireland, Spiders from Africa, Vampires from Romania and more.  The last to appear is the glamorous Candy Apple Fairy, who offers Cora a delicious, enchanted apple, but there's a catch: if Cora eats the apple, she will become the Scarecracker's Princess, but she will never be allowed to go home.
What will Cora decide?  Is her adventure real, or all just a dream?  You'll have to come and see...
